Insurance Company & Managed Care Organization Feedback Form

Sunday, August 4, 2013

Unified VCA Insurance Company & Managed Care Organization Feedback FormThe Insurance Company & Managed Care Organization Feedback Form was designed to give Virginia doctors a vehicle for reporting abuses and unfair practices by insurance companies and managed care organizations to the Unified VCA. The information reported by the doctors goes directly into the Unified VCA database and is used to monitor trends and patterns of unfair practices. Once a pattern is established, the data can be used as documentation to support a complaint to the Virginia Bureau of Insurance if efforts to remedy the problem directly with the insurance or managed care company are unsuccessful. Information on the feedback form can also be used by the Unified VCA Insurance Committee and staff when appropriate to provide guidance and help doctors develop strategies for dealing with specific issues with insurance companies.Once a completed form is received by the Unified VCA, the Insurance Committee will review it to determine if there are any immediate measures that can be taken to help the doctor try to resolve the problem. A member of the Insurance Committee will contact the doctor and inform him or her of what the committee recommends as the next steps in trying to resolve the issue.
